"Busters" (버스터즈 β) was a South Korean girl group under MARBLING E&M and JTG Entertainment. The group originally consists of five members: Minji, Hyungseo, Jisoo, Minjung and Chaeyeon. They debuted on November 27, 2017 with their 1st single album "Dream On". Other members were added whenever a member leave. They disbanded on August 6, 2020, after all original members left the company. The company announced plans to restructure the group and re-debut it in 2021. All activities between debut and the disbandment in 2020 are now under the name Busters β (Busters Beta).

History[]

2017: Debut with Dream On[]

On June 21, 2017, Busters won the "Global Asia Star Award in Culture" award at Korea Environment Culture Awards.

On November 27, they debuted with the 1st single album "Dream On" with the title track with the same name. On November 28, they won the "Rookie of the Year" award at Korea Culture Entertainment Awards.

2018: Grapes[]

On June 12, 2018, Busters released their 2nd single album "Grapes" with the title track with the same name.

On November 29, they won the "K-pop Singers" award at Korea Culture Entertainment Awards.

2019: Minjung's departure · Yeseo addition · Starlight · Pinky Promise · Minji's departure · Jieun addtion[]

On January 26, 2019, it was announced through Marbling's official YouTube channel that Minjung left Busters and later she was replaced with Yeseo on February 1.

On July 11, Busters released their 1st digital single "Starlight" as a pre-release for their 1st mini album "Pinky Promise". On July 31, they released their 1st mini album "Pinky Promise" with the title track with the same name.

On November 18, it was announced that Minji left Busters due to personal reasons and later she was replaced with Jieun on December 10.

On December 13, they won the "Rising Star Award for Popular Culture" award at Korean Wave Awards.

2020-Present: Takara and Minji addition · Hyeongseo's departure · Paeonia · Group Disbandment[]

On March 16, 2020, it was announced through fan-cafe and twitter that the new members Takara and Minji joined Busters. On March 29, Hyeongseo wrote a letter on the official fan-cafe to announce that she left Busters to focus on her studies.

On April 14, it was announced that Busters will comeback with "Paeonia" through teasers, starting with Jisoo's teaser then the other members on each day.

On May 13, Busters will release their 3rd Single Album "Paeonia".

On August 6, 2020, it was announced that the group disbanded after all the original members left the company. They announced plans to restructure the group and re-debut it in 2021. All activities between debut and the disbandment in 2020 are now under the name Busters β (Busters Beta).
